Refund policy

THANK YOU FOR YOUR BUSINESS! We hope you love your purchase, but we understand that sometimes it just doesn’t work out!  Here’s what you need to know if that’s your case.

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after purchasing your items to return them to the store.

Items shipped to you will have 14 days from date of delivery to be shipped back to us. All items must be shipped to Ernest & Alice: Returns Department and postmarked within 14 calendar days of being delivered. Return shipping costs are at the customer's expense. We are not responsible for any packages lost or missing in the shipping process. Ship the item back to our address:

Refunds will be issued in the form of store credit. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused and unwashed, with tags, and in its original packaging (if it was packaged). Smoke, deodorant, make-up and perfume free. It is at the sole discretion of Ernest & Alice to determine condition for return. You’ll also need the receipt.

The following items are FINAL SALE:

All Seasonal + Holiday Items, Sale Items, Jewelry + Accessories, Eyewear + Hair Accessories, Home + Gift Items, Custom/Personalized items, Discounted Merchandise including flash sales, holiday sales, celebration sales, or any other type of discount. These items will not be accepted for return for any reason. 

Shipping:

  • Please note we are not responsible for any packages lost or missing in the shipping process. 
  • All purchases are shipped through the United States Postal Service (USPS) 
  • All US shipping addresses are charged a $12.00 flat rate fee.
  • All domestic purchases are given a tracking number for shoppers to be able to track their package's delivery date. 
  • 2-3 business days is the processing time and does not include the shipping time.
  • 3-5 business days is the shipping time and does not include processing time. 
  • We are closed Sundays and start processing weekend orders on Monday in the order that they were received. Original shipping fees are non-refundable and return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.

Exchanges for size change:

Bring your unworn, unwashed item with tags and smoke, deodorant, make-up and perfume free to the store, and if the exact item is available in the size you need we will gladly do a size swap for you. Due to small quantities that our small business carries, a size exchange may not be available. If this is the case, and it falls within the 14 day return window, we will treat as a return if you choose this option. 

Damaged/Defective Items:

We check all items for any damages or defective areas when we receive them, but we know we are human and sometimes make mistakes. So, if you happen to receive an item that is damaged or defective, this is for you!

  • Damages must be reported to us prior to wearing the garment. Tags must still be attached.
  • All reports must be made within 3 days of receiving your garment or it will not be accepted.
  • Please contact us immediately at shopernestandalice@gmail.com and provide us with a picture of the damaged/defective area. Please include your first and last name and order number.


Gift Cards cannot be returned for refund of any kind.
